Registration for the 2009 NECCDC is now closed.

If you have not already contacted us regarding your team's participation,
it is now too late to participate this year.

However, we hope to accommodate more teams next year. In other regions this is accomplished by holding State or sub-regional competitions. This would amount to dividing the Northeast region into sub-regions and accepting one team from each sub-region. If two or more institutions from a sub-region wished to compete, they would need to compete in a runoff competition (usually smaller and shorter than the NECCDC).

We need to assess the interest level for next year in order to accommodate more teams. If your institution would like to participate next year, and is in the Northeast region (New York and New England), please send a simple email to that effect to Peter.Lutz@rit.edu. This is not a formal commitment, just a statement of interest. We will start an email distribution list and keep you informed.

Getting to RIT
Directions to the RIT campus are available on the RIT web site directions page.

Finding the NECCDC at RIT
The NECCDC will be held in Bldg. 70, the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. The map below depicts this building and the best parking lots to use. The building is outlined in red and the parking lots are outlined in bright green. The dark black lines are routes from the Radisson and Jefferson Rd. to the parking lots. Bldg. 82, which is directly in front of Bldg. 70, is under construction. You will have to go around it on either the left or the right to get to Bldg. 70. If you go around on the right, there is a walk in front of Bldg. 70 that will lead to the main entrance near the left end of the building. Please enter by this main entrance and look for signs in the atrium directing you to the registration table.

Finding Hotels and Restaurants
Jefferson Rd. is the street on which RIT's main entrance is located. It is also the principal 'strip' in Henrietta, the town in which RIT is located. There are a number of hotels to be found along Jefferson Rd., including the Radisson, which is on the RIT campus, and the DoubleTree, which is about 4 miles to the east.

Restaurants can be found all along Jefferson Rd. to the east of RIT, for at least 5 miles. A cluster can be found near Hylan Drive and Jefferson Rd. To get to this cluster of businesses, follow Jefferson Rd. east from RIT for about 3 miles. There will be a mall (Marketplace Mall) on the right and a cluster of restaurants on the left. More restaurants may be found by following Jefferson Rd. further east.

Another, smaller, cluster of businesses, with a number of hotels and restaurants, is at the corner of West Henrietta Rd. and Lehigh Station Rd., about 5 miles from the RIT campus. To get to this area, take Jefferson Rd. east from RIT to West Henrietta Rd. (Rt. 15). Turn south (right) and follow it over a tall hill. Lehigh Station Rd. will be at the bottom of the far side of the hill.

The bright green areas on the map below indicate where these businesses are clustered.
